I went by Daiso today and got a similar 550ml one, without the divider though. It’s even microwaveable! I’m pretty happy with that :)

Unfortunately, I’ve never seen this in Singapore, not even in the Japanese department stores :(. Good luck searching for your perfect box!

Any idea where I can get this in Singapore? It looks like the perfect bento box! I would love Hakoya bento box, but I can’t seem to find it in Singapore :(

Mine is not an Asvel one, it’s a “More*non” one. Maybe that’s why my size is slightly different. If I remember correctly, Apita sells boxes with very similar (if not the same) design from different brands.

It does take a loooooong time to make some of the CNY foods. I gave up my turnip cake-making after 2 years of college: too much work, too little time. :(

Is your box Asvel brand? The other brands in Apita all had slightly different sizes.

:) I never got round to making a single thing for CNY either! (Not that I ever have, but I thought it might be nice to try, and also have some intolerance-friendly treats around to gorge myself on.)

Some aunties I met during CNY visiting reminisced about the old days when three generations in a family would start the CNY food preparations weeks beforehand and work like crazy in the kitchen. Some of those CNY goodies are so tedious to make, I now realise; it would really be a labour of love to produce them in the midst of our busy schedules these days.

Mine says 650 ml (meh, close enough). I actually purchased the 490 originally, but went back to exchange after realizing that it is TOO small afterall (even though it’s cute).

Gong hei fat choi! No I didn’t make any special CNY foods: I live by myself and had too much school work (so did my friends). Probably going to go out for Sichuan food today as a make-up celebration. :D

Thanks for reminding me! Yes, there is a divider! I will edit the main post to add that in now (I’ll take a new photo when I get the chance too). This box seems so practical and has all the features one needs, and no fussing around with bento belts etc. Is yours the 630ml one too (it looks quite small in the photos)?

Thanks for the compliment on my bento! It looks a bit messy to me – the bento on your site set very high aesthetic standards :D.

Yay, we can be bento-box buddies now! XD Your bento looks gorgeous; I love its warm colours.

I’m so glad that you liked the design of this box. Even though I have other “fancier” boxes, I find myself returning to this minimalist one time after another.
