Where to buy takoyaki pans in Singapore?

This question has come up a couple of times in the list of search engine terms that have led to my blog. I haven’t answered the question directly in any of my postings so far (except in the now-defunct ‘Q&A’ page), so I’ll put it up here now.

Firstly, try the Japanese department stores – Takashimaya has the best range of Japanese cookware, also try Isetan.

Daiso definitely stocks them too, and at only S$2 (no guarantees on quality though!).

Another possible place to look for them is in specialist professional cookware shops like Sia Huat in Temple Street.

  1. After a loooonnnnnngggggg search I finally found my takoyaki pan in Mustafa its in the pans section (3rd if Im not mistaken)

prices are 17 sgd and 36 sgd.

  2. Hi! I was surfing and found your blog post… nice! I love your blog. :) Cheers! Sandra. R.

  3. Hi, was calling all over singapore for those places that you’ve mentioned and they either don’t have it or out of stock till after CNY. Even called Mustafa and he insisted they don’t have it. Was wondering if there’s anyone with any updates on any places that still has the pans… I’m going crazy from all the calling…

  4. I first thought that Daiso will definitely sell them…and I was terribly disappointed with them when I went 3 branches(Vivo, plaza sg, rivervale mall) and I could not find them…
I asked for their help, all they could say is pan is under that section
I even show them what is takoyaki, they don’t even know what it is
What’s more, I found the pin to turn takoyaki and what us printed on is “especially produced for Daiso”, with picture of takoyaki. I found the round brush to use for takoyaki pan(with pic of takoyaki too)
If they have these two, what’s the use of them when they don’t even sell the main thing itself?

  5. Also, on cooking shows, and Japanese chef’s YouTube videos, they say that takoyaki pan can be found anywhere on streets, that just means that Daiso japan can easily buy it anywhere and import it to sg
